“Masjid dipakai bukan hanya ibadah mahdhah, tapi juga ghairu mahdhah, kita bicara keagamaan, sekaligus bicara ekonomi, politik, di masjid, kenapa tidak? Kalau untuk kemaslahatan umat,” katanya.
Untuk diketahui, Ibadah Mahdhah artinya, segala bentuk aktivitas yang cara, waktu, atau kadarnya telah ditetapkan Allah SWT dan Rasulullah SAW. Apapun terkait ibadah Mahdhah adalah yang diajarkan Allah dan atau Rasul-Nya.
Sementara ibadah Ghairu mahdhah, merupakan semua bentuk amal kegiatan yang tujuannya untuk mendekati Allah. Namun, tempat dan waktunya tidak diatur secara perinci oleh Allah. Di antara ibadah yang termasuk ibadah ghairu mahdhah, yaitu seperti sedekah, infak, belajar, mengajar, berzikir, dakwah, tolong-menolong, dan gotong royong.
Maka, Uu berharap Masjid ini menjadi penggerak kemajuan umat. Pun sebagai pimpinan yang menjabat Pemerintahan Provinsi Jawa Barat saat ini, Uu mengaku pihaknya siap memberi dukungan demi tercapainya segala kebaikan yang diharapkan umat.
“Insyaallah, kami bisa membantu untuk berdirinya masjid ini. Mohon doa restu supaya saya di-ridhai Allah,” katanya.
